The nose.. the balance.. the finesse! This is a near perfect dram if I ever did see one for Benromach! Captivating Sherry meets incredible malt and the beginning of OBE notes coming through.

The nose is flat Dr. Pepper and Demerara sugar, hockey pucks and leather bound books. Cola gummies and subtle campfires with my friends. Menthol and intense camphor lineament, balanced perfectly with malt and subtle peat.

The palate is rich; super rich. Campfire comes in right away. Lichens and burnt cola syrup, old bottle effect and floral wreaths, more incredible depth that just goes on forever! Sherry balanced with best sultanas that you can buy; Christmas cake and figs with cinnamon spice and dark herbal tinctures. Eucalyptus pushes through and brings premium tobacco sweetness with more old fruit cake and more mint! Licorice and burnt sugar float along and bring some polish with burnt cherries.

The finish is amazingly long; cherries and mint lead with smoke and peat tailing. Walnut and flat cola, there’s some oak charcoal in the background and more dusty suede with some bits of coal oil.
