Neatly, it's rather woody and sharp on the palate. It improves somewhat with plenty of water. Overall, though, it definitely falls well short of #43.

Vanilla sugar, pear brandy, lemon cream, freshly broken fruit tree branches.

Wow, good wood: On the palate, it moves a bit away from the whisky world, more like a bitter herbal schnapps. Remains sharp and tannic even with strong dilution.

Ginger spiciness, tingling, spicy. And the wood remains.
