A bourbon built around deep, elegant bitterness, with weighty sweetness resting on top.
    • Nose
      89 89
Rich, syrupy dark brown sugar and fragrant dark wood dominate the opening.
Plenty of deep red and dark berry tones — cherry and dried raspberry — followed by clove, angelica root, and licorice that evoke dried herbal roots.
With time, crème brûlée and fig jam rise gently, while vanilla stays as a suppressed hint.
Almost no alcohol prickle, yet remarkably full in volume.
Aromatically mesmerizing — the kind of nose you can sit with endlessly.
    • Taste
      89 89
It opens with dried raspberry alongside boiled ginseng — the bitterness stripped slightly but the distinct, aromatic ginseng character fully alive — combined with the smooth, plush bitterness of dark chocolate.
Through the mid-palate, the ginseng note continues with dried raspberry, while dried cherry, dried fig, clove, and torched brown sugar push upward. A whisper of burnt popcorn bitterness appears.
Even when rolled around the mouth for a long time, the palate holds its shape: the ginseng note extends beautifully, clove becomes more assertive, and licorice brings a soft bittersweet tone.
A beautifully balanced structure of deep, elegant bitterness fused with dried berries and dark sugar sweetness.
Very little alcohol bite; the stimulation is moderate but long-lasting and refined.
    • Finish
      88 88
Retronasally, clove hits with near-full intensity — almost like chewing on a fresh clove pod — accompanied by torched brown sugar.
Dark wood, dried raspberry, dried fig, and dried cherry follow, with angelica and licorice lingering strongly.
On the palate, clove and boiled ginseng dominate, supported by dried raspberry, dried fig, subdued dark chocolate, and a mellow licorice finish.
Long, expressive finish with impressive stamina.
