A dram for seasoned drinkers as it is likely to be off putting for a novice - perfectly pleasant, but a little too aggressive with a volatile nose and a big hot of white pepper. Worth a try, but not sure I'd fancy trying to kill a bottle.
-
A find the nose a little lively as if the dram is trying to escape the glass - I get an earthy note, a hint of smoke and some sweet dark fruits.
-
The mouthfeel is pleasant with a bit of body to it - the taste is pleasant, but the alcohol produces a bit of a burn - white pepper perhaps. The is a trace of smoke in the background, with some sweetness coming through as well I don't get much of the pinot cask.
-
The finish is quite long, but is dominated by the white pepper.
