You can tell it's five years on the tongue and (especially) in the finish, so even the very inviting nose can't take anything away from it. I think the average price of 90 euros in Germany is quite excessive.

Yes, you immediately notice the sherry barrels, although you don't necessarily know that they are PX sherry. Dried figs, prunes, raisins, blueberries. Below that is a layer of marzipan mixture, dried meadow herbs and thyme. The peat smoke note seems warm and is not intrusive.

It has a very dry start, it feels like you're chewing oak chips on a shovel. Raisin bread, dried plums, grapes, occasional cherry flavor. If there wasn't a mixture of bitter herbs present, I would be having an Amaretto with the light cherry flavor and the nut-marzipan aroma that is now emerging. Cold smoke, giving a metallic feeling on the tongue. seaweed, salt and pepper.

Very bitter and dry finish, the dried fruits are only a distant hint, dry wood and cold smoke have the shared command, the metallic note gives the first officer.
