I did well to keep 2cl for home. Excellent old-school style, be careful it does not support too much oxidation, I felt the aromas turn in the glass quite quickly. I added 1 more point for the memory. Quite simply the best Hazelburn I have drunk.

Intense nose; almost powerful for the ABV, but well on the edge. Farmhouse sherry. Damp roasted cereal. Old shed that had held Petit Lu with little protection from the elements, both dry and musty, damp and past its prime. The sherry is clearly there, but delicate. Figs, dates and raisins with a few raspberries, all filtered through dry grass. Old, barely waxed parquet floor, pepper liqueur. Clove and cinnamon wafting from the walnut shells that enclose them. It’s magnificent. Small milk chocolate after a lot of aeration.

Succulent mouthfeel, perfect ABV. Powerful and overwhelming sherry at first, but instantly delicate, the versatility is superb. Dense raisins and dried figs, airy rancio that makes the transition, then a freshness of eucalyptus settles in all the way. Precious woods, varnished chocolate, caramelized plums and peaches. Red berry juice served in a (large) walnut shell, farm juice of dusty cereals.
