No doubts about the overall quality of this malt. At certain moments whisky feels a bit older than the stated age. My guess is that 1st fill bourbon cask has been used, rather than the refill one. However, I'm not sure about the price. At least I'm not ready to pay €80 for 10yo whisky.

Malty base and higher strength are apparent at the first nosing. Sweetand sour fruit and berries follow: yellow plums, apple puré, hints of strawberry. With the development in the glass more tropical fruit appear - mango, banana, coconut shavings. After 20 minutes gets more rounded, with addition of floral, if not perfumy notes.

Dense and very fruity at the arrival, followed by creamy and tannic oaky notes. Very nutty with peanut butter, herbs and chili.

Longer than average, mostly a combination of oak, nuts and pepper. Sweetness from the taste somehow disappears, leaving the space for astringency and a bit of over-oakiness to my taste. But the second sip improves the overall impression with addition of creamy and citrus notes.
