Not very complex, but very balanced. A great old-school sherry, refined and classy, the likes of which we don't make much anymore.

Concentrated and intense nose for the ABV. Very fruity, tropical notes, oranges, some cherries and dried fruits. Beautiful spices of nutmeg and cinnamon that coat the wood. Aeration brings a light varnish without solvent, as well as a superb dustiness, the dried fruits take the place of the tropical notes. Magnificent sherry.

Less concentrated on the palate, but impressively intense for the label. Wood, dark honey, lots of spices, including those on the nose in the main, and a lovely dusty pepper.

Medium finish, warm and spicy. Wood, black tea, dried fruits, dust. The wood dries out quite a bit with each sip.
