I first tasted this Macduff in 2011 when it was just relaesed . I re-tasted it in 2015 at the FOTB when a hidden bottle of this baby was found back at Van Zuylen. No change of rate necessary! Beautiful whisky from (still) not a well known distillery.

Lots of tropical sweetness of pineapple, mango and papaya.. Fruitbowl! Some leafy and earthy note as well. Honey and vanilla later on. Candy stick.

Very juicy and waxy. Toasted oak. Baked bananas and coconut followed by menthol notes. Orange marmelade. Coriander. Long flavour development. Complex. Superb!

Quite long. Cinnamon. Liquorice. A little pepper. Pine at the end. It's all very well balanced.
