    Knob Creek Rye is a very well made rye whiskey in my mind. It has kept it's quality through the years, is quite affordable and readily available.

      Very evident rye notes on the nose. Spiciness, Granny Smith -apples, some underlying sweetness. Vanilla and vegetal notes. Syrupy toffee. A hefty nose indeed with lots going on!

      Taste starts with a spicy kick. Cinnamon, clove, nutmeg. Warming woody spices all in all. Tannins, peppery bite and some pine resin.

      Keeps lingering on the tongue with a nice warm note. More balanced woody notes emerge after the taste mellows down.
