I must say it's not bad at all for a grain whisky . Oops, seems like it's something I've been saying more and more lately. I guess I have good friends. That said, grain still doens't compete with malt in terms of "excitement" potential, methinks.
Oh, and the North British that came a few drams afterwards just blew it out of the water, on that level. Nice try Garnheath, nice try.

Not bad at all in the sense that at least, it's not at all acetonic. In my eyes that's already enough to warrant a "good" grain whisky. It's a bit sad to define "good" things by the negative but well, in this case, that's pretty much representative of the reality I'm afraid. In my eyes, grain still remains bad OR not bad. But truly *good* ? Rarely. Anyway, back to the flavours : it's quite heavy on white flour (which is curious for a grain, isn't it ?), and there's a bit of light, undefined fruitiness.

Quite heavy in alcohol but I must admit it's aromatically rich for a grain whisky. Some passion fruit even !

... which carries on to the finish. Not bad indeed !
