My 4th or 5th Imperial in a glass so far, there was light and shadow. This bottling impresses with its alternation of sweetness / fruit and slightly tart wood tones. Amazingly tasty and due to the "Lost Distillery" and the scarce availability, there is certainly a little awe and nostalgia with it ... You can certainly argue about the price and the PLV, but hey, you only live once!

Intense amber shimmers in the glass, dried fruit aromas rise gently with floral hints. A hint of apricots and mandarins, followed by pineapple and old vanilla, crumbs of toffee and caramel, minimally malty with hints of raisins and a bouquet of wild flowers.

The first sip flows sweet and fruity over the tongue, wooden spices and a hint of tart citrus fruit join in. Hints of burnt sugar, followed by caramel with milk chocolate and again grassy and floral notes. Malty, raisins, apricots and spicy wood tones, voluminous and varied on the tongue.

Floral and fruity notes stick to the palate to be cozy, warm, and spicy oak with sugar and vanilla appears again. Hazelnuts and a hint of old mint emerge discreetly. The aftertaste lingers long and voluminously on the palate.
