A very nice nose, but especially the finish was not spectacular. The port wine influence is obvious. So if you want to taste a whisky with this influence, this could be on your (long) list.

The port wine influence is evident: there are sweet, sugared notes, with strawberry, and dark cherry. There is also a musty note of a port wine cellar. Next to that, there is a nice Glengoyne profile of toffeed apple, pear, a bit of dried fruit, and sweet barley. At the end, some mint brings a cooling freshness.

Still fruity, mostly on strawberry. Next to that, there is toffee, wine cellar, honeyed cereals, cinnamon, and clove.

The lower ABV shows in the finish, which is relatively short, and merely spicy. There is only a trace of fruit.
