This Dalmore has wonderful aromas, but unfortunately, as is so often the case with Dalmore, these don't really come through due to the low alcohol content. I won't even go into the massive addition of caramel coloring. Nevertheless, it's a tasty malt.

The nose is immediately very sweet and fruity, reminiscent of a rum pot. Further on, you'll find plums, oranges, raisins, and dark cherries. Everything is very dark and syrupy. In contrast, there's a touch of acidity reminiscent of raspberry soda. Alongside the fruit, there are also notes of caramel and brown sugar. In the background, there are hints of coffee, leather, and cloves. With such a multitude of aromas, the alcohol is completely undetectable.

Mild and oily, and immediately very fruity on the palate. Sweet, but less so than the nose suggested. Even after lingering in the mouth, the malt remains mild, with only a subtle spiciness. Abundant berries, oranges, cherries, honey, and mild spices. The whisky doesn't taste watery at all; however, a higher alcohol content would greatly benefit the multitude of wonderful aromas.

Dark fruit aromas of berries, cherries, and plums. In the background, oak now emerges with hints of coffee and chocolate. As the fruit flavors slowly fade, the oak notes linger on the palate along with the berry fruit for a medium length of time.
