A very typical Highland Park with everything you know from other young bottlings of the distillery. Not very complex but pleasant to drink and nice aromas.

In the nose first oranges and very light, hardly perceptible smoke. This is supposed to be the smokiest bottling of the Warrior series. Slightly sour pineapple forms a nice contrast to the rather sweet oranges.. In addition, the heather and caramel typical of Highland Park. Simple but pleasant.

Very mild and oily on the tongue. The smoke is much more present on the tongue than on the nose, plus all the aromas that were also found on the nose, oranges, pineapple, heather and caramel. After some time in the mouth still light oak spice. A higher alcohol content would suit the malt well.

Oak spiciness noticeable after swallowing, followed by orange, heather and caramel. The aromas mentioned linger on the palate for a medium length, together with a tart note of coffee.
