This sample was completely surprising in a package with other whiskys. A big THANK YOU to André for this great rehearsal. I had already forgotten the "code" after it was introduced. I'm not a NAS friend and then with only -XXX- on the bottle anyway!, ... I would never buy it. As far as I said in advance: Without this tasting, I would not have missed anything. Yes ... the nose does! that is masterful.

Here I have to list them in a classic way: juicy pear, red grapes, similar to cherry juice, biscuits or pastries, fruity wine gum, some wood wax shimmers through .... very floral sweetness and slightly sour notes ... oh, almost complex.
Now it is clear that this nose is the decoy for the unnamed "Black-XXX-NAS". -
Very difficult to describe. Despite having enough water, he presses fully on the Spirit wooden spice bar. Right in the middle of the tongue, ultra hot and peppery. But it wears off quickly and then stays sweet and sour. Then herb grass notes and something like a pharmacy candy in the background. Difficult to describe.
It's a shame that he can't make it through the middle. There is not enough age in the base ... Texture and body are not developed enough. But the finale is creamy ... at least. -
Unfortunately, it did not last medium to rather short and without transition. Even on the palate, there is a lack of depth and assertiveness. Long warm and peppery. Spicy bitter citrus note. A simple malt with a great nose. But that's it, I think the PLV is very weak.
But said again, the nose is wow!
