Tomatin

Tomatin is a Highland single malt distillery located in the village of Tomatin, roughly 16 miles south of Inverness. Founded in 1897, it grew to become Scotland’s largest malt distillery during the 1970s before later reducing its still count. Since 1986 Tomatin has been owned by Japanese beverage company Takara Shuzo, under which it produces both unpeated and peated malts for its own labels and contributes around eighty percent of its total output to blended whiskies including The Antiquary.
