About Macallan

Founded in 1824 on an outcrop above the River Spey, The Macallan originally built its reputation quietly as a blending malt known for its full-bodied, sherry-cask profile. Following extremely popular independent bottlings, the distillery shifted toward showcasing its own single malts, with a particular emphasis on the luxury and collector markets.
