The Singleton of Auchroisk was a single malt Scotch whisky brand introduced by United Distillers (now Diageo) in the early 1990s to represent Auchroisk Distillery’s output in the European market. Located in Speyside, Auchroisk had previously released its single malt under the distillery name, but the rebranding to “Singleton” aimed to make it more accessible to international audiences. The brand was eventually phased out and replaced by other regional “Singleton” expressions—Dufftown, Glen Ord, and Glendullan—as part of Diageo’s strategy to tailor The Singleton range to different global markets. Today, Auchroisk mainly contributes to blends, particularly within the J&B portfolio.
