Connacht

Connacht (Connacht Distillery) is an Irish single malt whiskey brand based in Ballina, County Mayo. A craft endeavor begun in 2016 on the site of Duffy’s bakery, the distillery launched its first self-produced single malt release—Batch One—in 2021, marking the first whiskey distilled in County Mayo in over 150 years. The spirit is made entirely on-site using locally sourced malted barley, fermented and double-distilled in custom-designed copper pot stills, and aged in ex-bourbon barrels followed by Oloroso sherry cask finishing. In addition to their single malt, Connacht Distillery produces a range of other spirits including gin, poitín, and vodka, all reflecting their regional, craft-driven approach.
