“Speyside Malt” is an origin-led label phrase, not a legal category. In law the bottle must still carry one of the Scotch categories and meet the core rules (matured in Scotland ≥3 years in oak casks ≤700 L; bottled ≥40% ABV). The regional term “Speyside” may appear only when all the whisky was distilled within the Speyside GI; Speyside is one of the five protected regions and sits within the broader Highland area.
On Whiskybase, “Speyside Malt” is used as a brand label to group such origin-signalled releases across many bottlers. Searching under this brand surfaces a wide variety of entries rather than one proprietary line.
