Hi

I would like your comments about the naming in Whiskybase for Mackmyra TIO, the ten-year-old whisky delivered by Mackmyra.
In my view, the Name in whiskybase should be "TIO", and not as it is now "10-year-old". "TIO" is clearly displayed on the label on the bottle, and it is also referred to as that in official information from Mackmyra.
I believe that the official name should be used if possible.
For examle, Ardbeg Uigeadail has Name "Uigeadail" in Whiskybase, instead of translating the word into something other. So to follow the same "rule" with this new Mackmyra whisky, I would like the name changed to "TIO".

What do you think?

Hi ceeflood,

as TIO is the swedish word for TEN
I think it should be named "10 Years old".

also on foreign (here swedish) whiskys we write "10 Years Old" in english, not "10-ariga whisky" (as the swedish writing would be).

"Uigeadail" is a gealic name, I think that is a complete different story...

best,
Gunnar

p.s. and "TIO" is mentioned in the "bottling" field, so in the WB list it is shown as "Mackmyra 10-year-old TIO",
what for my opinion is perfect to find and identify this whisky...
