  1. Dram Dracula scored this whisky 93 points Connoisseur

Can Ardbeg duplicate this kind of style nowadays? It's a resounding NO. But as long as people keep on buying all their NAS's and 21/23 yo's with their astronomical price tags, they have no motivation to.
    • Nose
Very peaty and briny, smoky ash, somewhat vegetal, with a bit of fruity pungency -- if I didn't know better, I would have guessed this is a Port Ellen.
    • Taste
Good power, nice peat, again somewhat vegetal, some smoke, always with a thin layer of nondescript, unripened fruits. Resembles a very, very good Port Ellen. Smooth. No off-flavors at all. Just about perfect for this kind of style!
    • Finish
Medium-to-long finish, with a fine, lingering peatiness. A bit sweet at the end.
