Medea gave this whisky 81 points

Nose

Intensive and very tasty flavor with the immediate impression of ripe aromatic fruits in rum - plenty of fruits. Very fresh considering the age. Then there is vanilla and some lemon flavored ice tea. A beautiful nose.

Taste

Warming and spicy with sparkling rum. The age and a strong influence of the oak are more obvious now. Fruits in maple sirup with marzipan. A very tasty combination. The longer I taste it the more addictive it is.

Finish

Medium long without any unpleasant development.

Comments

No surprise that Douglas Laing have chosen the best of the best for their jubilee. The rum finish makes a lovely contribution to a fantastic nose and taste.
