Unusual but not bad. The unusual spice and herbal note in connection with dried fruit takes a lot of getting used to, but also has its charm somehow.

    • Nose
Dark copper shines rusty brown in the Premium Snifter, spicy dried grapes and fruits rise from the glass, a strange fragrance for me is in the air. Hints of solvent or glue mix with dark spices and dried fruit, the nose reminds me a little of cough syrup or herbal liqueur. Milk chocolate, raisins, dates, dark plums and plums, a hint of old leather, sweet and characterized by dark fruits, makes the tomato appetite for the first sip.
    • Taste
Caramelized sugar, cough syrup, minimally sulphurized raisins and balsamic vine pour over the tongue with the first sip. Milk chocolate and wet leather, hints of furniture polish, espresso and dark chocolate dominate the second sip with a hint of sour cherry. Plump warmth rises from the stomach, slightly sour fruit aromas and emerging hazelnut aromas announce the aftertaste.
    • Finish
Sweet and sour fruit aromas stick to the palate with a spicy mix of herbs and spices, hazelnuts and slightly tart wood tones dissolve, the aftertaste persists for a long time.

An unpleasant uh-glue note (from the tube) unfortunately makes a lot of damage.
Especially in the nose, it is present and hardly deviates even with the addition of water.
    Too bad.
Otherwise he is not bad at all, but delicious. Dark berries, leather, raisins. Everything goes in the direction of Christstollen.

An excellent cask, an excellent whisky, very nicely balanced. Enjoyable with or without water.
    • Nose
Red fruits, like strawberries and raspberries. Then dried fruits as well: Sultanas, raisins, plums, dates too. Some honey in the background. There’s a lingering sour note from balsamico. Quite lovely. Later also a hint of milk chocolate. Water reveals lemon, and some oranges. It is somewhat fresher now. Blueberries too.
    • Taste
Chocolate, sultanas, raisins, balsamico again. Also some nice winter spices, such as cinnamon, and ginger. It is a bit peppery as well. A light coffee note in the end. With water: More chocolate-like (mostly milk chocolate), and the spices dissapear to the background. Creamier. A hint of oranges and citrus here as well. Some honey too. And Rooibos tea.
    • Finish
The finish is quite long, with all the spices as mentioned above, and the coffee note is here as well. Dark chocolate. Water adds mocha.
