Good (22) Really cool, on a full fortress, probably, it was steep. (89)
    • Nose
Bright, tropical fruits and honey. Orange and spices.Mondpier and biscuit. (23)
    • Taste
In the taste of fruit and caramel, spices, biscuit and wax. (22)
    • Finish
Finish repeats the taste. Berry jam on a bread crust. Tree and spices. (22)

I do not know what Artania is, but whisky itself is very similar to bourbon aging, which impresses me very much

    • Nose
Turkish delight. A hint of Hubba Bubba chewing gum. And then apricots. Red apples. Caramel. It’s quite sweet and fruity, but lovely. Sweet oranges and honey.
    • Taste
Honey. A sweet pink grapefruit in the background. Pears, apples. Caramel and vanilla. Then it gets spicy, chilli peppers and ginger.
    • Finish
Mid-long. Somewhat spicy, minerals and the fruits.

  4. thijs100 scored this whisky 87 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
Old oak with varnish and furniture polish, but also apricot, gooseberry and sultanas, as well as a hint of fudge. A touch of olive oil and straw, as well as lemon peel and orange marmelade. The balance is intriguing.
    • Taste
Fresh with subtle spices (white pepper, ginger) and lovely fruity flavours, like apple juice and bitter lemon peel. The wine cask influence must be fairly minimal, as this seems mostly prototypical Benrinnes. It has a thick mouthfeel, only adding to the pleasurable experience, and plenty of character.
    • Finish
Lingering spices and soft fruits. Long.

Cute, delicious whisky, bar option. Rather consistent and balanced. Mourning a little extra, like me, an oak in the aftertaste.

Candy, caramel, duscé, barberry, candied fruit, sweet a soda, white wine, coconut, creamy irises, chewing gum, vanilla, minerals, green grass, dried fruit (apricot, pear, apple), fig, fig, kumquat, a little chocolate, orange (orange jam), spices, sponge cake. A salty note pops out. Quiet, balanced, tangible wine and delicious aroma.
    • Taste
      89 89
Dense, dessert, dried fruit (pear, apples, apricots), butter, mineral, caramel, fig, fig in chocolate, wax, meat component. Deliciously!
    • Finish
      87 87
Wine, warming, dried fruits, oak, a little bit of meat, wax, dry and knit, at the end of a bit of bitter bitter wood.
