I have a thing for old Glen Moray's!
Bright fruits, ginger, some vanilla and gooseberries.
But something makes the malt seem restless. It has rough edges and I don't think the alcohol is well integrated either.
On the other hand, the taste of the malt is wonderfully harmonious and round.
Very pleasing with the same fruity spectrum.
If you leave it longer in the mouth, the wood comes through pleasantly and becomes a slightly astringent ginger note.
Rather short, but with a pleasant range of aromas between fruity sweet and sour.
