  1. Shane_IL scored this whisky 70 points Expert Senior

This one felt a lot younger and weaker than it really is. Aside from that it was also very generic so I don’t really have mich to say about it for better or worse. While challenging as an entry in a blind tasting competition, it’s not a very fun drinking whisky.

Tasted as part of the 2017 BTC
    • Nose
Slight ethanol. Sponge cake. Lemon curd. Peaches. Tropical fruits. Balsa wood. Vanilla. Green bananas. Grass.
    • Taste
Bitter wood at first. Then sweet fruits, wet grass, lemon and vanilla, and then some more bitter wood and herbal honey.
    • Finish
Long, dry. Herbal honey. Wood spice. Citrus oils.

    • Taste

Strong, full, lot of pepper, sweet, honey, spicy. Fruits again, citrus. Full body and taste.
    • Finish

Still some pepper, warming, spicy. Sweet, vanilla, pretty long, and later on even some mint flavours.

I think this is the worst Glen Moray in my life, very sad ((

  7. thijs100 scored this whisky 86 points Connoisseur

A fairly balanced whisky with a decent complexity. Easy sipping, but it doesn't become boring.
    • Nose
Very light and fresh with a bit of fennel, accompanied by white grapes, vanilla, a hint of lime zest and lemon peel, and some green veggies too. There's a touch of cardboard here as well. Very delicate.
    • Taste
Very clean. More lemon as well as some apple, accompanied by white pepper and roasted peanuts. Finally a bit of menthol. Very interesting stuff.
    • Finish
Lingering mint leaves, some spices, before becoming more citrusy and grassy.
