huge cask influence. Not at all unpleasant but certainly unexpected.
(This is tricky because I forgot I don't have a nosing glass up here) It
is like sticking your head in a newly opened bag of raisins, then
there's a citrus rush, followed by dates. Its all fruit. I can't detect
any grain at all.
I can't remember having such a fruity dram. The wine influence is
extraordinary. Its like drinking marmalade diluted with Cointreau.
Only here does the grain assert itself, coming through with the
spiciness of the wood. Dried fruits are still all over it though.
