Ambitious in terms of price. Apart from that, a very palatable Lowlander.
    • Nose
      84 84
Caramel candy, floral herbal notes, vanilla, a bit of malt sweetness and fresh oak that is reminiscent of chipboard. Overall restrained. In the background grapes and red wine tannins. Orange and citrus. Takes time to develop.
    • Taste
      85 85
Creamy soft start. Then there are ginger and white pepper spiciness. Cream candy, honey sweetness, cloves, light grapes, tannins, vanilla.
    • Finish
      86 86
Medium to long, dry and slightly bitter, the grapes remain with the oak.

really not liking the Bladnoch profile overall
    • Nose
      70 70
light vomit, vinous, lightly woody, grain, really bad experience nosing this
    • Taste
      78 78
ripe orchard fruit, touch of cocoa, raisins, woody, chocolate, lightly dusty, luckily not that much in the taste that was on the nose
    • Finish
      77 77
      figs, spicy, hot

  7. Malthead19 scored this whisky 81 points Connoisseur

    - a still young but very pleasant single malt
    - very good burning quality
    - PLV: with about 70 - 80 € it is really no
    House number
    - The quality of the distillate is very good, but for me too
    expensive
    • Nose
dry fruity first impression, flowery, citrus fruits (lime), fresh and young
    • Taste
powerful, long-lasting start, slightly sweet, lime, lychee, orange, then a surprising spiciness is added at the end (ginger, pepper), you can taste young age (but not unpleasant)
    • Finish
      medium-long, soft finish;
      long, warm, full-bodied spicy aftertaste

  8. Spoerkel scored this whisky 82 points Expert Senior

Quite fruity for a Lowlander - but all in all very average. Admittedly, I'm not going to be a Lowland fan anymore ...
