Extremely tasty in the mouth, if the nose and finish were a bit "more", then I would get 95 points, so: 94
    • Nose
citrus fruit, fair, cotton candy, gingerbread spices, pink grapefruit, kumquat, mandarin, liquorice, leather, less complex than the "golden duck", but round, harmonious, inviting
    • Taste
Fireworks! Candied pink grapefruit, candied kumquats, candied tangerines explode with a pepper salve in the mouth, that's great; also dark chocolate, gingerbread spice, cotton candy and ginger, Campari bitterness
    • Finish
medium, Campari, orange peel, tangerine peel, licorice with pepper, sugar and citrus fruits ... yummy!

Maybe it is day shape - but the 10ml I had of it, I felt as much more intense than the 60ml WF "duck" - the nose is even after more than an hour still strong in Snifter, despite the small amount of distillate - a real experience
    • Nose
exotic sweet and sour note, tangerine, lime, passion fruit, mango, sparkling fresh carambola, honey, vanilla, very creamy oak, which still flashes behind the fruit, to disappear again - yummy alluring - quite intense and beautifully balanced - Warms even rounder, birch sap and bark fragrance in the oak, the fruits are sweeter, riper, more intense but stay nice sparkling sour - the nose is very rich.
    • Taste
beautiful yellow fruit - sweet sour full-bodied cocktail of fruits from the nose, grapefruit peel, waxy oak note with quite a lot of power for the age, short sting also the alcohol very light on the tongue, spicy mint, quite complex but only light and waxy oak, with tree sap , and green herbaceous astringent aromas
    • Finish
Balsamic, sweet, nutmeg, pepper, a touch of clove, tobacco full, mint impregnated wax / wood oil - long - mouth - filling, intense, chocolate, milk coffee - chili

    Very good whisky
    • Nose
      Lemon or rather pink grapefruit?
Anything with citrus fruits. Speculat spice.
    • Taste
Again, the citrus but a bitter taste penetrate. Not much but disturbing.
    • Finish
Long, slightly spicy and the citrus fruits are omni-present.

Was a bit shy on the nose at first but then unleashed its full potential on the palate - this one is really easy and thus dangerously drinkable and very enjoyable. Great!
    • Nose
Fruity, citrusy, honeydew, hints of woody notes, some tropical fruits as well, papaya - very good!
    • Taste
Punchy, oily , creamy, fresh and fruity like a fruit salad, subtle sweetness, just a touch of wood, spices and stuff coming up - superb!
    • Finish
      Medium long, warm, fruity, spicy

This one was cheaper than other Speyside 1973 released in 2017 but is in the same league. An excellent honeyed and fruity whisky.
    • Nose
Honey, dried fruits (apricots, dates), fruits cake and spices. Give it a little time to open on leather, citrus (grapefruits), ripe exotic fruits (passion fruits, mangoes) and hints of fresh wood.
    • Taste
Honey, yellow and exotic fruits (peaches, apricots, passion fruits), citrus (grapefruits, lime), spices, mint, herbal notes and a bit of oak.
With water, the nose is more mineral. Hints of pencil shavings. The palate is more honeyed and oaky.
    • Finish
      Long. Pepper, mint and cloves.

Spicy fruit compote, excellent as are all the 73s speysiders bottled by Acla that I have had the chance to try!
