A little short like its little brother but very beautiful complexity and instant indulgence.
    • Nose
Delicate, light, floral nose. Quite green on a bed of wildflowers among apricot trees whose very ripe fruits are still attached to the trees. Tangy citrus. The tropical fruits are there with aeration but do not erase everything else. Mango and melon, but also raisins. The main frame remains on a lot of apricots for me. Cinnamon honey and pepper caramel. Very light wood varnish.
    • Taste
Succulent mouth instantly. Triptych mango, apricots, raisins. Gorgeous spices. Peaches, acidity more metallic than lemony. Apple. Light wood on the finish that makes the transition nicely.
    • Finish
Warm finish on scents of oriental spices. Always apricots, honey custard. Rediscovers its foliage from the nose on the finish.

Another one that smells more like a bourbon cask than a sherry to me?
Crisp and clean on the nose with white fruits and white pepper followed by gooseberry and icing sugar.
Like the 73 WD before it, this is everything so slightly bitter so water is added.
More sweetness does Co everyone out but I just cannot get excited about this, a bit on the bland side, that sided the finish is decent

On the nose it’s floral like a springwalk in green fields. The second wave is full of ripe exotic fruits, mangos, pineapples, bananas and apricots - wow
    .
In the palate an intense flavour of cherry plum, candied oranges, popcorn and caramel cake - No water necessary this is super smooth and absolutely enjoyable from the first sip.
    .
The finish combines the exotic basket of fruits with forest honey and Bavarian creme.

Not as vibrant or aromatic as many other 1973 speysiders but the pedigree is obvious -- fruity, sour notes with some lemon meringue and cranberry frosting.
    • Taste
      91 91
A candied sweetness that borders on the tropical. The sourish notes are very distinguishable for these 1973 speyside, likely ex-fino casks. Creamy, good mouthfeel.
    • Finish
      91 91
Lovely stuff... but getting a bit boring?!? Impossible!

The aroma is simply amazing, immediately after the discovery produces a crazy spectrum. But to reveal the taste you need to give the whisky time. Awesome whisky, one of the best I've tried in this life. So far with only Speyside 45 mba with him on the same level of everything tried before

    • Nose
First it splashes a wave of fragrant spices and spring field herbs. The second wave is sweet oriental fruit in honey, and nuts, honey melon, banana, raisins and dried apricots, mangoes, sweet tangerines. All this explosive fruit range is seasoned with spices and covers with wave after wave of freshness. Awesome After standing still appear black tea with honey and sherry with cinnamon and cardamom
    • Taste
Creamy caramel cake, sprinkled with cinnamon and banana, smoked prunes in oil
    • Finish
Black pepper mixed with oak bark, iodized salt and tangerine peel, hazelnut in chocolate glaze. Long, spicy and pleasantly warming finish with pleasant fruit and nut tingles under the tongue :)

Incredible malt, you need to stand for a while and soon discover the widest range in flavor and taste.
    • Nose
      93 93
Sweet pastries, donuts with white icing, cinnamon, light smell of a cellar with barrels
    • Taste
      94 94
apricot, cherry plum, orange melon, salt, caramel popcorn
    • Finish
      94 94
Long finish, the whole range of spices of the oriental bazaar, salt, melon peel

Complex with vanilla, lovely fruit bowl - I picked out pears, floral, herbs, an array of sweet spices and a lovely creamy/buttery feel, just lovely.

    • Taste
Explosive taste, dried fruit, citrus, chocolate and hot pepper (24)
    • Finish

Even among the already ingenious Speyside region bottlings one of the best for me.
    • Nose
Banana Split, wonderful nose as from a noble, exotic perfume, passion fruit and pear, papaya and beautiful light herbal honey with cinnamon in it, lavender, thyme and nutmeg, also some freshly grated almonds and coconut flakes, vanilla
    • Taste
Full brown sugar, marzipan, camphor, lavender and rosemary, thyme, nutmeg and cinnamon, of course, the tropical fruit salad, papaya, passion fruit, mango, green apple and pear also, beautiful malt is added and herbal honey
    • Finish
The tropical sweetness remains beautiful with the single pickled fruits, the herbal honey and some nice oldschool malt, long to very long

Another great Speysider from 1973 - it's really hard to say which one is the best but anyhow they are on a very high level - excellent!
    • Nose
Fresh fruits, intense, honey comb, mango pineapples, truck loads of tropical fruits - fantastic!
    • Taste
Oily, creamy, fresh fruits again, also apples, pears, a whole fruit salad and a good citric level, finest oak wood, subtle sweetness, just hints of vanilla - great!
    • Finish
Long, warm, a little bit peppery and zesty but still mostly sweet and fruity
