This dram has two sides which work together wonderfully. I really like its natural power and lovely texture. Only the best Tobermories have this. It's similar to the R&BTW bottling (ID 74247) but even more down-to-earth. I also compared it to two WhiskyBroker bottlings and even though I like those as well, they are definitely of a less vibrant quality than this one.
Very natural and fragrant. Earthy, grassy and hay-like, with a fresh whiff of lemon and a honey sweetness. This could be mistaken for an older Lowlander like Bladnoch.
An oily structure with a lot of hay. Then honey and a fresh fruitiness of grapefruit, peach and lime coming through that. Water tears that beautiful balance apart and adds a touch of mint. I prefer not to.
More nutty. Almond. Still hay, honey and a light blood orange fruitiness.
