This relatively young Macduff is characterized by dark and creamy fruit flavors combined with spicy and tart wood tones, but the dark and tart aromas do not change the sappy nature of this PX-based malt. A like I find very successful bottling even if I miss a little the sweet elements.

    • Nose
Clear and pure, the Macduff shines amber in the glass. Dried berries and grapes stand out from the Premium Snifter, the tart fruit flavors are supported by light roasted aromas. Here and there, the high alcohol content in the nose tickles while Vollmichschokolade mixed with dark forest honey. Gradually, green apple and creamy vineyard peach dissolve from the tart sweetness, currants and a hint of tropical fruit end in creamy pirsich and abrasion of orange peel. The peach is now dominant in the foreground, caramel and green apple throng now and then through the creamy peach. Dried raisins slowly stimulate my salivation.
    • Taste
Dried berries mix with the first sip of green apple and dark caramel. Spicy wood tones and a touch of freshly brewed espresso come up and end in bitter dark chocolate. The second sip is more influenced by dark fruit flavors. Dark and creamy peach, green apple, old oranges and dried grapes end after a while in a spice mixture and creamy dark chocolate with chili. The dark and spicy wood tones harmonize very well with the tough caramel and the chocolate.
    • Finish
Herb and partially dry sticky spicy and creamy wood tones on the palate, the tongue is ensnared by dried berries and dark peach. Milk chocolate turns into dark chocolate, a touch of walnut aroma sticks creamy and oily on the cheeks inside. Also in the finish are different spices and dark fruit flavors. Slowly, the chubby heat ends and leaves a harsh and oily film on the tongue. Walnuts and chocolate finally finish the aftertaste.

A very nice single cask was the young age, you can really drink, but a little too many points for the origin showered. ;)
    • Nose
Quite alcoholic, white chocolate, light honey, candyfloss, full toffee sweets, a little red, sweet apple, peach, custard over orange peel, later it gets a bit more tropical with mango
    • Taste
Strong, very pointed and concentrated, initially overripe, red apple, mushy peach, precocious mango, cotton candy, light honey, white pepper, white chocolate, custard, very sweet with the chilli-catch, light malt and young, light oak in the background , slightly nutmeg, almost reminds me of strong virgin oak barrels rather than sherry
    • Finish
Tasty, still very powerful with beautiful aromatic fruit notes from the peach to the mango, with sweet honey and rough, young oak and citrus zest, malt, etc.
