Whisky Reviews for Glenallachie 1995 ED

- I do enjoy #Glenallachie, this ones got that bitter sharpness that will make your mouth water.
The nose is light, floral, hay and play dough. Speyside fruits and some sandy notes too. Crisp tart orchard fruits and white tea notes, some tannic wood creeps in. I totally get the floury lightness to this whisky too.
The palate is hot on this one! White pepper and shortbread meets a bit of peach cookie and some sort of bright fruits. As it opens it becomes fruitier, raspberry white chocolate and lemon scones.
The finish is medium, white oak and birch sap, tea tannins and some bitter licorice candies with a soft woody creaminess in the base.
- Nose: Buttered feathers, diluted lemon bitters, crusty white loaf, grassy parsley
Palate: Quite floury, like walking through a hay field and a baker is rolling dough in the middle of it, slight honey sweetness
Finish: Long, with a good body, sweet herbaceous finish, lemon flavored Savannah grass
