Whisky Reviews for Bunnahabhain 1989 DoD

  1. hs305 scored this whisky 80 points Connoisseur

[July, 2006]  I donated this bottle to a party where it was used in whisky-cola drinks.  I bought it for 45 Euro in July, 2006.

    In my old rating system (ten scales that translate into WB points: 50 - 66 - 75 - 80 - 82,5 - 85 - 87,5 - 90 - 92,5 - 95) I scored it 80.  I found it not worthwile to take any notes but I remember it harsh and bitter.

  2. Samy Malthead scored this whisky 82 points Member Senior

Rare to get, but not a hidden champ. Good expression of a bunna, though.
    • Nose
Light, fresh citrus, green apples, hint of sweet vanilla, slight oak notes, mint, spice
    • Taste
Mouth watering, spicy oak in the development, a little sweetness, but not very complex
    • Finish
      Long, dry, oak
