    A very nice Laphi. The Brennereicharakter or the Laphi-typical smoke is there, in total but very harmoniously involved.

      The smoke is unmistakable in type, but comes very mild and elegant as a welcome and remains as a steady companion. Very intense honey, sea salt, algae, vanilla, macadamia, soy sauce, green apple, pickled pear, some rice pudding. Great nose, you always want to keep your nose in the glass. The 48% offer strength, but are a little bit too present in the nose.

      An interesting interplay. First, honey cake, extremely sweet. Then only the smoke, at the same time fresh and tingling. Then a little pleasant bitterness and then again powerfully sweet.
      You can taste honey, vanilla, very strong salt, some pepper, very spicy. In the background something fruity tree fruit.

      Medium. First bitter, spicy. The Laphi smoke is there the whole time, is very very pleasant as a "red carpet" on the tongue. The longer you wait, the sweeter and more pleasant the finish. Always powerful, but unfortunately quite suddenly gone.

    First of all said one of the best 18s I own. This velvety delicate despite plenty of alcohol is very special. The sea air nose and the taste of salty, sweet, fruity to smoky. Everything is there. Fantastic. House whisky.

      Very special is the combination of fresh sea breeze with nutty chocolate notes. Everything also makes a very set impression. With peaty maltiness, sweet candies and spicy but wonderfully subtle smoke.

      Everything in the middle weight class but wonderfully creamy. With leathery smoke and always sweet with bitter notes, but not disturbing. Fruity and floral rather graßig with earthy ash. It still salty caramel with citrus notes. A poem.

      Very tender, soft and still long. Peppery with a metallic finish but not too bitter. Very special and always sweet.

    Since May 2013 in a new guise - now in the white tube.
    But even this great, mature Laphi has not existed since the end of 2014 (except stock levels)!
    Unquestionably a top malt!
    • Nose
      pleasant mild smoke, salt, spices, caramel, citrus fruit, vanilla;
    • Taste
      aromatic, sparkling onset, mild smoke, malt, fruit, vanilla, oak, mouth-filling, multi-layered;
    • Finish
      long sweet-smoky finish, aftertaste of smoke and spicy

    A great malt, very complex and delicious!
    • Nose
      Smoke with sweetness and menthol, grass and salty notes.
    • Taste
      Sweetness, smoke, nut, dried fruits, raisins, very complex.
    • Finish
      First sweetie, later some bitter, dark chocolate. Harmonious strong long finish.
