This reminds me of Flaming Heart, only slightly more rewarding. Another great dram by Compass Box and Kensington Wine Market.
    • Nose
Rich and subtly smokey with honey, vanilla, and oak.
    • Taste
Sweet, rich, soft, and subtly smokey on the palate. Sweet peat, honey, spice, vanilla, and mild citrus.
    • Finish
Long. The mouth fills with subtle smoke and honey.

I just opened this recently. I have no idea how KWM still have this whisky in stock. A really fantastic dram and I am shocked that it's not been sold out yet.

Subtly smokey, ethereal and smokey sweet on the palate with a great backbone of rich spice. Another home run by Compass Box and KWM. I plan to pick up another one or two of these next time I have a chance to buy a few bottles. I'll post my full review and score after I've gotten through most of the bottle. Get this while you have a chance.

    scotchit:

"...Mix of 1st fill bourbon barrels, refill hogsheasds and French Oak barrels from Clynelish, Caol Ila, Dailuanie, Teaninich, blended with 30yo Cambus and Cameronbridge + 2% old sherry cask malt whisky from an unknown distillery. The reason for the low strength is that the grain whisky had fallen to 41% ABV..."

today this whisky is still available at Kensington Wine Market, but they cannot sell/send it outside of the state of Alberta / Canada (hey, we have CETA since yesterday!), but it is on auctions in the UK these days. original price: 159.99 CAN$ (around 110 EUR). link: https://www.kensingtonwinemarket.com
