For me an ideal representative of a mature and, above all, balanced whisky. Top!
Beautiful, homely, juicy fruit notes paired with an immediately occurring, delicate old-school wood note à la (still quite fresh) Eichenschrank. Yes, I like that a lot! Then follows juicy and crisp apple, as well as sugared orange peel and bourbon vanilla / vanilla ice cream. The apple peels, combined with a minimal squeeze of lemon, bring a certain tart freshness into play, which goes extremely well here. All in all: Leeeeecker! That's my thing.
Perfect sequel, now with a tad more harsh notes. The apple is back, as are the citrus fruits. The delicate, beautiful wood is wonderfully accompanied by bourbon vanilla, which maintains the ideal balance of dryness and sweetness. That very minimal, old-school feeling is there again, but only really minimally. I like it very much, this malt is incredibly honest and the balance in person (or bottle form). Perfect.
Fruity, delicately tart, slightly dry vanilla is accompanied by orange. Lasting and perfect.
