A beautiful dram that this Inchmurrin 14 years. May be the least successful of the Triptych (Sherry & Executive) but above a lot of Whisky. What's left is impressive is its large aromatic palette for a 14 year old. I can not wait to taste some older versions of this distillery (Loch Lomond).
Well, you'll tell me it's easy, but this nose is very bourbonesque, we make no mistake. There are fragrances of vanilla and caramel. Of course it's not just that, there are also hints of flower honey, fruit paste and condensed milk. You will understand, there is sugar. But next to it there is a certain austerity with floral notes and zests of citrus. Overall a rather complex nose.
Alcohol perfectly integrated. We are on exotic fruits and white fruits first. There is also apple and spices (ginger in particular). At the end of the mouth there is bitterness and some spices.
Average length on the woody (sweet bitterness), ginger, fruits, sugar and pretty vanilla notes.
What a nice whisky, elegant and rich in aromas with a fruity freshness in the nose and fruity delicacy on the palate. The sweet components are like the chocolate sauce on the fruit. It is rounded off by the elegant restrained spiciness. Only the departure alone could be longer and more pronounced in my opinion. To be honest, I'm surprised what great Inchmurrins Loch Lomond ripens and creates. You get something delivered here for the age - 07.09.2018
Beautiful fresh fruit aromas, ripe banana, plum, nectarine, citrus, grapefruit, currant. The range of fruit variations is enormous, sweetened, pickled or compote, everything flows together here. There are also sweet flavors such as milk chocolate, vanilla, marzipan, chocolate raisins. After a while spicy comes through and the smell of fresh wood, straw, dry meadow grass and dried herbs
With water, the chocolate darkens. Overall, he is sweeter and softer
Sweet, fruity, tangy, peppery, caramel, malt candy, honey, pomegranate, grape, the dried herbs are also found here, the barrel pushes well and brings with it spiciness
With water it is more vitamin-rich and it gets more fruitiness, the sharpness goes back a bit and becomes ginger, the malt flavors are more present, the end is a nice aroma of mint herbs and lemon balm
Deliciously fruity and tasty. Very good selection.
Fresh & fruity. Apricots, citrus (grapefruits, oranges, lemons), a touch of honey and whiffs of vanilla.
Uberfruity, slightly creamy & spicy. Grapefruits, pineapple, tropical & yellow fruits. The tart and fruity palate reminds me of these peach candies from Haribo I liked when I was a child. Juicy. Pepper & ginger for the spicy touch.
Long. Fruits & spices are lingering. A slight bitterness from the oak.
