  1. aphex scored this whisky 90 points Expert Senior

Probably the best grain I tasted so far and I'm not usually that fond of grain whiskies. Tasty and moreish.
    • Nose
Wood varnish, vanilla, custard, coconuts, bananas and a few spices from the oak (ginger, pepper).
    • Taste
First juicy then creamy and sweet. Coconuts, vanilla, apricots. Almonds and spices. Eating some pastry with a chai.
    • Finish
      Medium, fruits and pastry.

Very well done in the genre, but no more memorable than another old grain of this age. The mouth is are strong point.
    Enthusiasm 4/5 Whiskey n ° 1684
    • Nose
A nose evoking rum, glue. Then comes the cereal and especially the vanilla. Generous and rich.
    • Taste
In the mouth, rich and creamy. So greedy.
    • Finish
Finale dominated by vanilla with some traces of exotic fruits.

  3. wisekycourse scored this whisky 89 points Connoisseur

On the nose, intense varnish, fresh, a little dried herbs, then fruits in compote (apples, cooked pears), then a little fine spices and vanilla!

Back on the small pot of dried glue.
    • Nose
vanilla, wood, sugar candy, very strong wood, oozing scents on an old rum or low armagnac!
fruity "fresh" on apples and peaches confit.
delicate spices, back grassy limit, well malted.
    • Finish
very good, long, but also monolithic ,.

  4. Kolesnikov17 scored this whisky 89 points Member Senior

    • Nose
Light, flower-vanilla. Malva, lavender. Very slightly spirituous. Dusty, cloying. Apples, pears, mangoes, dates. Refreshing. Varnish, drying oil.
    • Taste
Very sweet, tingles the tongue. Moderately dead. Mandarins, mango, banana. Pepper. I do not understand the smell of stink, it looks like the smell of the skin. The taste is perfectly balanced.
    • Finish
Long and expressive. Oak and tangerines. Coffee.
