In the nose penetrates directly a chocolate note. Matching with almonds and marzipan complement this sweet character. However, some alcohol is added too. But at 52.6%, that's fine too! Behind it lies a pleasant fruit. It could be apricot, but it may also be a slightly bitter orange due to its association with the alcohol. In addition, for me is still a very subtle note of Bourbon, I always feel that as a mint. The finish does not overlap the pre-maturity. I'm curious about the taste!

It starts pleasantly mild. Really delicious fruity whisky flows into the mouth. Bright fruits, apricot, grapes, a light orange. Then the alcohol presses on the gas pedal. Not in the negative sense, I think. For a whisky starter, it would definitely be too much. Seasoning, wood and barrel come to the fore and lay heavy on the tongue. An exciting change!

Here the fatcairn weakens something. For me, the wood notes remain too dominant. Yes, there is something very dark chocolate coming through, cocoa, maybe even some coffee (I rarely drink myself!). But after some time, especially a bitter note remains that I do not quite want to taste.
