    A very dynamic dram indeed!
    • Nose
A fresh nose, with loads of herbs, and summer notes (light grass) as well as fresh and dried fruits.
    • Taste
Very fruity! Lots of apple, pear, peach juice flow, alongside peppermint jelly sweets and jelly candy people(!), but quite dry.
    • Finish
Fading into herbs and fruits, and while drinking it side by side with an craft IPA, a cacophony of flavours emerge, putting an enormous grin inside my mind! Cracking whisky!

'The nose has greenhouses, cloudy lemonade, mint leaves and hints of peppermint and earthiness. The mouthfeel is thin with little cling. The body has cloudy lemonade and herbal notes (basil?). The finish is mint leaves and cloudy lemonade.

Water brings out thick rapidly expanding whorling that dissipates quickly. The nose now has more mint leaves and less peppermint. The body gains more greenhouse notes, and loses some of the lemonade. The finish is unchanged.

    A superb warm weather dram'.

    Any day any time.
    • Nose
A lot of fresh mint, freshly cut grass as in Springtime on a meadow. Some herbal aromas.
    • Taste
Warm, heat. Lemon fruit, mint flavour, sweet like candy , bonbon. Aromas of salted toffee, honey sweet, fresh  ginger notes, some thyme and lemon sweetness.
    • Finish
Long and lovely. Fresh notes and aromas. Young whisky. Not light but easy drinking.

    SMWS tasting notes:

Nosing this one neat we noticed plenty of fresh mint and freshly cut grass at the start before slightly more herbal aromas arrived, just like a cool morning walk on a sunny late autumn day along the Moray Firth in the north east of Scotland. The taste neat warmed us up quickly, an intense heat to begin with followed by the refreshing lemon mint flavour of sucking on a herbal/sweet bonbon. Diluted; aromas of salted toffee and hot water with honey, lemon and freshly grated ginger whilst on the palate now a mint julep with the extra addition of thyme and lemon.DRINKING TIP: Whenever, Wherever
