Looks like 180 bottles (of the 1800 in total) were dedicated to "Celebrating Canada's 150th" / Cask Numer: Spectrum 004 / 4119.

These bottles contain the same sticker on the box and on the bottle.

This has the most beautiful colour I've ever seen in a whisky. Up until this one the Octomore 7.4 held the top prize in colour. Not anymore. The colour of this Amrut is a translucent dark cherry that is rich and delicious to look at. However, the look of this whisky doesn't quite relate to the noising and tasting.

The noise is semi-rich with soft species, light molasses and chocolate at 50%.

The palate it rich and restraining at the same time with hints of dark fruit, medium chocolate and sweet spices.

The finish is okay, medium at best.

It's rich and sweet, but not very complex. Hard to pickup subtle tasting notes on this one but still a very enjoyable sherry dram.

Worth the $150cnd retail price, but not at the going secondary market pricing which seems to be at least double and triple at this time of writing.
