Whisky Reviews for Tipperary 2007

3 users have left a review for this whisky and scored it an average of 83.38 points

  1. ColdAesthetics scored this whisky 83 points Connoisseur

    • Nose
An extremely strange nose, has something of gin from the wine barrel (yes, I already had), extreme juniper and a clear red wine modern note as I often find them in young wine finishes, pepper, mint, balsamic vinegar, what's going on here? Is my sample reversed? : ')
    • Taste
Yes, ok, here you can taste a few nice red grapes, but then the mint, the juniper, rosemary, my goodness, has never had such a whiskey, stay with it, it's closer to Gin, a bit decrepit Malt later, hints of vanilla and honey, but probably. 0.5% of the experience and only when trying to find whiskey, a bit oily oak (but not disgusting, just not whiskey)
    • Finish
Juniper, oak barrel, some grapes in between, mint, medium long, very strange still

  2. AlterSchwede scored this whisky 84 points Member Junior

The second best Irish whiskey, which I had so far (until 2018) in the glass. Rotweinfinish gives the already good Tipperary an interesting, consistent kick. (Red wine is polarizing, I know, you can see other reviews here.) For my taste exactly fitting and with a long, intense finish. The cask strength is already good to enjoy; but some water brings the dram to bloom! Add a few more drops after each sip, and there are still some interesting, new flavors for the nose and especially for the palate.

  3. Bona scored this whisky 77 points Expert Junior

The nose is completely strange, the taste better. But how to give 88P is a mystery to me. For me, not more than strange and just under 80P. Does not really taste me.
    • Nose
Hui, what is that? Is it whiskey? Alcohol, juniper, eucalyptus, some spruce needle, behind it sweetness and fruit from Wein.Braucht a little time then he does not seem so edgy.
    • Taste
At least a little rounder than in the nose. Powerful start, grapes, wine, musty oak, again this kind of juniper note, a little vanilla. The wine dominates here, which is not bad. The Alk is quite well integrated, goes pure.
    • Finish
medium, nothing new, dry, wine and oak.
