Nose: smokiness with honey and toasted coconut; buttery, peaty alongside tangerine, and a glimmer of metallic scent; some lemon, sea salt, baked apple, roasted meat, freshly cut celtuce, a feint tiny-wee grilled cucumber flavour, some roasted cashew nuts, orange tea with ginger and pepper. This is a quite stunning and intriguing one! Mouth: little peaty and earth feeling, barley malt syrup with feint whiffs of smokiness; grilled meat with sorted nuts; it is also quite creamy, and with a touch of toasted pecan; vanilla, lemon, the sweetness of pomelo and some freshly roasted chestnuts; quite some juicy pear flesh mixed with honey, apple and baked pineapple; pepper and ginger with a wee bit tar and a hint of seaweed; there is also tiny little bit sea salt taste and pine nuts on the background; typical pepperish, complex, deep, and all those classic Talisker notes are very much present! Finish: rather warm and long finish rises up with pepper; then fruity and sea salt towards the end. Comment: It is definitely a superior Talisker, yet a powerful one. The more you explore, the more charming and mellow it gets.
