Tasty, just delicious! The nose is wonderfully layered and just my thing, the bunna ties in exactly where the nose stops. Only the aftertaste disappointed me a little, although I have to admit that the reverberation sets in just for the lap of honor and returns with sweet fruit flavors in combination with tobacco and slightly decayed wood tones. A very great and successful bottling, tastes great!

    • Nose
Rusty colors with a silky shimmer rests the Bunnahabhain in the Premium Snifter, on the glass wall many tough and oily "legs" pull their long tracks back into the glass. Resinous spruce and decayed forest soil rise from the glass, dark berries and grapes are briefly swung in rum, then exude velvety vineyard peach and creamy apricot her beguiling aroma. A mixture of bittersweet and milk chocolate follows, oranges and sour cherries rise while a hint of tobacco mixes with a more wooden spice mixture. The cherries become more intense, the marzipan and a hint of mint freshness are minimal. The velvety vineyard peach returns, raisins emit their sweet aroma, cedar wood blends with tobacco and slightly decayed pieces of wood. From time to time, salty and maritime elements flash through the otherwise flavors of dark fruit and decayed wood notes. Sweet and dark fruit flavors stimulate the salivation ...
    • Taste
Spicy yet mild, the first sip flows creamy through the mouth. Sweet fruit components and creamy milk chocolate combined with tobacco and cedar on the tongue to a wonderful taste sensation, voluminous the alcohol warms the palate. Subtle wood sharpness sticks to the tongue, milk chocolate and liquid toffee are sweet, resinous sprigs of pine stick on the palate, sour cherries come up. Spices and a pinch of salt are released from the creamy and spicy wood tones, slightly rancid walnuts come up. Again, there is a touch of mellow freshness combined with sweetness and creamy notes of wood. Forest honey dripping on peach wedges, a few drops of espresso floating on chocolate ...
    • Finish
The aftertaste is creamy and spicy, but unfortunately also a little weak and timid. A fine tobacco note is in the air, as well as a hint of menthol and fruity sweetness. Creamy sounds the reverberation but unfortunately relatively quickly.

A beautiful, set, solid and polished bunny.
The right thing for a relaxing evening in the armchair.

    Nice, quite complex nose.
Round, spicy, balanced in the mouth, but not as complex as in the nose.
The exit is the weak point. Harmonious, but not very complex and not particularly long.

Fruity, nutty, sherry, fine cigar smoke, deep. Toffee, dark cherries, plums, tobacco, malty undertones and a little dunnage warehouse. Figs and some wax. A hint of mint and a little peach. Ground.
    • Taste
      89 89
Sweet, round and spicy, fine white pepper, cloves. Dark cherries, plum jam, figs, dusty books and old wood, some furniture polish. Briefly also sandalwood. Ground and round. Overall stays on the spicy side.
    • Finish

Medium length and intensity, oloroso sherry, (spicy) spicy, orange peel, peach, harmonious, but not particularly complex.

    • Nose
Old books, pipe tobacco, some orange scrub and wax. Eucalyptus, sage. A touch of engine oil. Sweetened black tea.
    • Taste
Oily. Toasted malt, forest honey. Orange Softcakes. White pepper and some wax. Nougat, espresso. Peppermint chewing gum and a hint of smoke.

This very harmonious and perfectly balanced whisky is in my opinion undervalued. I seldom buy a whole bottle of the tasted whisky due to a sample, which is the case here!
A really great Bunnahabhain for a fair price.
    • Nose
Vin Santo, Marsalla, sweet, balanced, the alcohol is perfectly integrated, maple syrup Grade A, roasted unsalted peanuts, ripe heart cherries preserved in rum
    • Taste
the impression of perfectly integrated alcohol is repeated; an exciting game of sweetness and spice which balance each other perfectly and as a pair of brothers harmoniously bliss the tongue and the palate.
Strong Upper Allgäu forest honey with a little beeswax appears, very subtle oak flavor
    • Finish
subtle oak, long and sweet finish, spicy but not too spicy, oak bitterness discreet

Beautiful Bunna. I really like it.
    • Nose
At the beginning some marzipan and biscuit. But that will vanish. Now come berries. Fresh blueberries. Jostaberries. Red fruit jelly. Also a certain fresh, musty smell. Sounds stupid, I know. Goes so in the direction of the forest floor on which it is raining and winding properly. Matching still wet wood. Also some tobacco.
    • Taste
Only delicious forest honey. Also nougat. Tree resin. Then come the berries again. But now more sour and not so ripe. In addition, grape juice. This one is sweeter again. Followed by a short tingle. Then set in a beautiful, pleasant oak flavor.
    • Finish
Cocoa. Black tea. The oak stays. But not very bitter.

great complex paints with each sip presents new flavors, the price, however, is more than just beyond good and evil. Over time, the malt gains in intensity, which are reflected above all in the aroma and finish. In terms of taste, however, he can not quite keep this profile. A malt for the wet days that wants to be enjoyed in peace.
    • Nose
first touch maritime, nice pleasant slightly smoky sea air character, salty algae, musty and slightly musty followed by dark wild berries, him-strawberries and apricots, earthy and mineral. becoming ever spicier, the oak gradually sets in. Roasted almonds, salty caramel and nougat followed by a delicate cocoa / tender bittersweet note. The 48.2% vol bring the unbelievably complex and intense aroma load neatly forward and let you stay with his nose first for a while on the glass.
    • Taste
"fresh" sweet, fruity onset that passes quickly into seasoning and oak freight. Here, too, the maritime notes and the discreet smoke are constant companions. The alcohol is wonderfully integrated, but can not quite confirm the intensity of the nosing.
    • Finish
long spicy maritime and fruity, sweet finish that is accompanied by light smoke and comes very close to the complex aroma again. Even minutes later, sweet, spicy and maritime notes are still coming up. Great!
