  1. PatSch23_12 scored this whisky 87 points Expert Senior

Caol Ila is behind it here, the Marsala brings through the banana notes an unusual and exciting counterpoint
    • Nose
an extreme blow peat smoke, dry and ashy. If you get used to them, artificial watermelon flavor and ripe bananas rise up, peanuts and dry clay give the malt a slightly dusty note. Lemon freshness is gradually becoming wide, there is no trace of barrel wort.
    • Taste
Strong alcohol, paired with citrus and rising smoke, again dry and cold. Behind it, massively sweet fruit notes of pear and sour pineapple, as well as the slightly anointed banana
    • Finish
Herbal and chocolate-creamy in the finish

  2. Lorion scored this whisky 84 points Expert Senior

Tasty and interesting, but not complicated. 80 points. The nose pulls it down, the palate is an 84.
    • Nose
Campfire smoke. In the beginning only that, then immediately grapefruit and lemon. These two things stay until after 5 minutes something sweet develops. Not alcoholic, but not very intense. Vanilla comes to it. Water : The nose is sweeter and you are suddenly on a farm. In the cowshed.
    • Taste
Sweet and smokier after barely a second. Distinct acidity of grapefruit. Smoke covers the tongue and dominates, supported by grapefruit, the Nachschmecken, barely sweet yet. Water : It remains similar in the mouth, but the smoke is much more restrained. The sweetness is stronger and stays. Only after swallowing the smoke comes back to the fore.
    • Finish
      medium, the tongue remains occupied.

  3. Achany scored this whisky 85 points Connoisseur

At the beginning fruity, sweet, grapes, and then the peat and the salt kicks in. Some spices, some sea influence, nice. Finish could be longer but this is still a nice young and feisty dram
