Of course the bottle is a bit special in the first place, but I can say that this is one of the most chocolaty whiskys I've tasted so far.
    • Nose
Directly a very intense mixture of furniture polish, melted chocolate and raisins, the oak spice already directly indicates the European oak, nutmeg, old wall unit, plums and meaty dates, really extremely intense sherry freight
    • Taste
Also intense chocolate, slightly peppery, the oak spice is directly wide, slightly dry, lots of heat, the mouthfeel is creamy, light pine needles
    • Finish
Liquid chocolate and a beautiful oak flavor without being too dry

This is an excellent whisky, make no mistake.

Wow that is one expressive nose for one so young.
This is about as fresh as a sherried whisky gets to be honest.
I think I would call this velvety, like a galaxy chocolate bar mixed with Fry's Turkish delight, dark fruits, ribena, with hints of gravy in the back ground, weird?
    • Taste
      91 91
Massive sherry but also some wood and quite bitter at first but then a massive wave of spice mixes with the heavy sherry and you get the message that this is all in perfect balance, nothing out of place hear with a a very faint nutty note in the background. As you go on everything just increases your mouth waters, excellent stuff.
    • Finish
      90 90
Not the longest but everything is in balance and it loses nothing from the palate remaining juicy and sweet to the end.

      With water;-
The nose is even better, more chocolate and fruit coming through, the sherry is top notch.
The water has released more dark fruits, Turkish Delight and chocolate, succulent & juicy in the same way as the best lamb dishes are.
The finish is longer than when neat but just as impressive.

The nose is wonderfully balanced, the sherry and Brennereicharakter merge nicely, the relatively young age is not negative, on the contrary, keeps the power and balance. Succeeded!
    • Nose
Red wine notes on the nose are not necessarily sherry, soft and sweet chocolate, not bitter, so probably more milk chocolate. With some oranges, raisins. Alcohol? No, at most a very gentle mint note, but perfectly integrated. Fresh and sweet. Requires no water for the nose. Let's see what the palate means.
A few drops of water and a little bit of heat promote the alcoholic influences in the first place, without really strengthening the other flavors. Therefore on my part no recommendation. Just leave and enjoy.
    • Taste
very round at first, only after a few seconds does the tip of the tongue start to feel under the force.
At the second sip then but much drier. Of the orange or other Brennereicharakter here is then under the ordinary sherry influence then not so much available.
    • Finish
Wow, already a lot of barrel. So the wood logs here. But not bitter, but juicy, green oak. After a few moments, the raisins are back and stay in the interplay with the oak. Both stay wonderful long. Still slightly dry. As a result, he has something here harsh.
