A little one dimensional, but for less than 20 quid you can't go too far wrong.

Not an overly powerful nose but the classic peaty taste is there with just the slightest sweet taste. I think I prefer this over Lidl's in house Irish ???????? Whisky. Really struggle to find fault with this Islay single malt for £17 and change :-)

Better than it looks. Calm, flat, easy going, nothing decisively wrong. Good walue.

Do not think this whisky is that bad. There are a few whiskys on the market, especially in supermarkets that are structured similarly and yet more expensive. The price / performance ratio in this one is absolutely outstanding - 03.01.2019
    • Nose
Cigarette smoke in the car on a cold winter morning, campfire, fat flavor on bacon, cheap BBQ sauce, malt
    • Taste
Slightly sweet smoke aroma, soft and mild, malty, hot, grilled bacon fat
    • Finish
      medium

Nice bottle but nothing special. It lacks some smoke and peat to stand in the row of the real Islay. But fair quality / price ratio.
For your worst friends who like to drink your smoke whisky ... :) For that price, please put this bottle on the table.
    • Nose
      77 77
Some citrus, soft smoke-tones, dough, some medicinal
    • Taste
      76 76
      Smoked ham, charcoal, spices
    • Finish
      77 77
Short aftertaste, lacking some alcohol-strength, slight spiciness, somewhat bitter in the end.

No high flyer, but a really honest, satisfying Islay malt. Good value for money.
    • Nose
Cold campfire. Malt. Iodine and rubber. Some citrus. Coffee and some pepper.
    • Taste
Sweet starting. Maritime echoes, smoke. Alcohol sufficiently strong for only 40% Vol. Very creamy mouthfeel producing.
    • Finish
Amazing long finish with coffee, malt and smoke.

Significantly better than the price suggests.
    • Nose
      warming, clear smoke, then fruit
    • Taste
oily, smoky aromas, malt, slightly spicy sharpness
    • Finish
      not too long, bitter
